"In the beginning there is skating.  It is a fundamental fact of your life as a hockey player that you will progress and improve only as far as your skating allows you.  It doesn't matter that you can shoot a puck through a quarter-inch plywood, stick handle around three people in a phone booth or body-check opponents so hard that their helmets pop off.  If you don't skate you don't rate - at least as a hockey player."   Jack Falla
